Sep. 9th, 2006 07:33 amthey've moved us into a new corner of the call centre where the desks offer less privacy - instead of cubicles we have two-person work benches. i moved my monitor and machine so that i'm sitting as far away as possible from the person i share with and my screen is less visible. i also had to move my phones to the edge of (my side) of the middle of the desk so i can see my timer and punch for my breaks.
the guy i share with keeps moving my phones (and my coffee mug and my water bottle) out of my reach when i leave my desk - so he has his own end part and the entire middle/shared part of the desk, while my monitor, box, two phones and cups are all jammed onto my end 1/4 of the desk.
i just got back from the washroom and he's moved them again. i asked if there was a reason he needed more space - he said there was but then couldn't say why. so i moved them back while he watched and asked him to please stop moving them out of my reach. once i'd placed the phone back, he wiped down the entire area and then spent 5 mins wiping down my phone...?
he also has a small mirror he brings with him and attaches to the top edge of his monitor. so he can see behind him. where i sit. i wonder if he can read in a mirror?
